HISTORY / HISTORIQUE |
History: The circuit of St. Eugene was located not far from
the small village bearing the same name, overlapping the
Quebec and Ontarian
borders. This circuit was always regarded as a Quebec track
since it was the first in the area of Montreal. Traced on
a given up military air basis, the circuit open in 1957
and closed the gates in 1964, following the construction
of the "Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant. |
Historique: Le circuit de St-Eugène était situé
non loin du petit village portant le même nom, chevauchant
les frontières québécoises et ontariennes.
Ce circuit a toujours été considéré
comme une piste Québécoise puisqu'elle fût
la première dans la région de Montréal.
Tracé sur une base aérienne militaire de la "British Commonwealth Air Training Plan" abandonnée,
le circuit ouvra en 1957 et ferma les portes en 1964, suite
à la construction du circuit Mont-Tremblant. |
